Packington's Pound is an Elizabethan lute piece, here transcribed for guitar. It is an excellent piece for the beginner who is advancing towards intermediate skills. The sheet music is on page 111 of the book.

Originally for lute, "A Toy" was included within the famous Jane Pickering's Lute Book, dating back to the 17th century in England. During this time it was not uncommon for guests of the aristocracy to be invited to inscribe a piece of music into the family music book.

This classic song is by the Elizabethan composer Thomas Ravenscroft. He was a composer of psalm-tunes and other church music and also the author of a musical treatise. It is here arranged for solo guitar in the key of E minor.

The Parlement is a 16th century lute piece, here arranged for guitar. The 6th string uses a dropped D tuning. This is a very good piece for the beginner who is advancing toward intermediate skills.
